Jewellery Care

As most jewellery is given as a gift of love or as a momento of a significant occasion,
it is natural that you would want to keep it in the best condition possible.
Even though glass beads are kiln annealed to ensure its strength and durability,
beads are still made of soft glass and can crack or break if mistreated.
The beads we use are strong enough to be used in everyday jewellery,
however care should be taken at all times.
Please ensure that you always follow the guidelines below
so that your jewellery will retain its attractiveness.

When wearing, protect all your jewellery from scratches, sharp blows, chemicals, extreme temperatures, sunlight.

Try not to drop your jewellery on hard surfaces such as concrete.

Remove your jewellery when doing household tasks such as gardening and cleaning. And never wear your jewellery in the bath or shower, while swimming, sunbathing, in bed or when exercising.

Apply make up, perfume and hairspray BEFORE putting on your jewellery.

After each wear, gently wipe each piece of jewellery clean of makeup and skin oils with a 100% cotton cloth.

Storing Advice

Store your jewellery pieces separately so they don't scratch each other.

DO NOT store your jewellery next to any heating appliance, a window sill or in the car. Always store your jewellery away from sunlight.

Your jewellery should be stored flat or loosely rolled in your jewellery box or other container. This will help prevent the materials (especially the tigertail) from kinking and the chains from tangling.

Travel with your jewellery pieces packed in their own protective containers, or gently wrapped so they are not touching any other pieces. Remembering not to bend!

If your jewellery gets wet, for any reason, ensure that your pieces are dried fully before placing into storage.

Cleaning Advice

Clean your jewellery by polishing gently with a dry soft cloth. Jewellery that contains any pearls should ONLY be cleaned in this way.

Use of cleansing powders, dips, creams or any other chemicals are NOT recommended.
